Who is Tribal Boy?Boozhoo (Hello) My name is Aabita Giizhig (Indian name-Half of a Sky) also known as Michael Bridgeforth. I'm an Anishinabe from the Lac du Flambeau Indian reservation in northern Wisconsin. Currently, I reside in Stevens Point, Wisconsin with my wife Haley, daughter Emma and son Bronson. My love for art and design came at an early age when I won my first coloring contest at 7 years old. In highschool I took every art class available which continued into college (Gateway Technical College) where I learned how to apply my creativity to not only paper but the digital medium. With my degree in Graphic Technology, I headed back home to Lac du Flambeau where I started as the Editor and Graphic Designer for a monthly newspaper called the "Youth News". The Youth News
I also coordinated a few mural projects and found time for my passion: painting! Traditional Painting
I created a Native comic strip that was published in the local newspaper called "The Woodlands". The Woodlands Comic I also found time to create a line of t-shirts called "Tribal Boy Clothing".
Tribal Boy Clothing In 2003 I found my calling for Web Design and was contracted as the webmaster for the Forest County Potawatomi Community and Lac du Flambeau Tribe. Since then the world wide web has proven to be fun and challenging and has given me the opportunity to share my gift of design with the world! Today I'm still developing my skills in web and graphics, and continue to take on new challenges! Miigwetch (Thank You) Tribal Boy Design
